SLU Centennial Celebration

Saint Louis University will be celebrating its 1oo years of existence. In line with this, SLU will have different activities in opening slu's centennial year.Here are some activities:

Centennial Concert and Dinner – November 27, 2010 (Saturday) @5:30 pm

My Mother Is On

-> Facebook, one of the most popular social networking sites in the ENTIRE WORLD! Because of its popularity, it's not just the teenagers who uses it but EVERYONE including your and my parents! It's great that parents have facebook because you can keep in touch with them BUT... it's not great when they invade your privacy! :o It's not normal when moms or dads comment on your pictures, wall post and lots more. We don't feel embarrassed (well maybe a little) but what we feel is awkwardness that your friends can read what your parents are posting on your facebook. I'm not against parents being on facebook all I want is some privacy and respect to one another :))

12 Year Education Plan :)

Here in the Philippines, education is very important to everyone. Finishing our studies is an accomplishment to everyone because this can help us reach for our dreams. Because of this, President Noynoy Aquino and the Department of Education (DepEd) decided to have 10 ways of making education to the Filipinos better. One of the ways is the 12 year education plan. It is where changes will happen both in the elementary and in the high school department. Instead of having 6 years  of education in Preliminary (Elementary), it will become 7 years, while Secondary ( High School) will have 5 years of education.In my opinion, instead of adding 1 year in both elementary and high school, they should just make the quality of the schools better. Make the teachers attend more seminars on how to give the students an excellent quality of education. They should make the school's equipment better. Adding a year to both elementary and high school will become useless if the quality of the education is not going to become better.

When I was in elementary I studied and graduated at Saint Louis School Center :D

High School came and I am now studying at Saint Louis University Laboratory High as a 3rd year student. 1st year wasn't my favorite year because I was in the science section but still I met great people and had lots of fun ! b"d

2nd year came and I can say that it was my favorite year because that's the year when I met my best friend, get really close with my classmates and meet new people. It's the time when I got to go out with my friends ALL THE TIME and go for a swim, walk everywhere until we're tired! :)

Now that I'm in third I've met mooooore people from different years. I became really close with other years specifically the fourth years :) I want to become more close to my classmates and batch mates. Hope this year will be a BLAST! :))
